The Chase Bays AN Fuel Line Kit for VQ35DE | VQ35HR swapped Nissan 240sx / Silvia is designed for enthusiasts who want to upgrade and adapt their fuel lines with high end components plus stealthy design. This kit integrates a 3 port Fuel Pressure Regulator (FPR) seamlessly and has the option to adapt an aftermarket fuel rail. It is assembled with all black aluminum A.N. fittings and -6AN stainless steel reinforced hose with high heat nylon sheathing. We use the best components in the industry and we pressure test every line we assemble. We guarantee a leak free start up if this product is installed correctly.
This deletes a portion of the engine bay feed and return hard lines and replaces the filter. In factory form its ugly, bulky, and routed inefficiently. You will cut the feed and return hard lines back about 12" inches and route toward the trans to the firewall. In stock form it would be very close to the exhaust. See photo below for visual reference. This creates a nice tidy look that will allow for easy install / uninstall. Plus it can be a safe distance from its neighbor, the exhaust.
Since the 350z / G35 is regulates the fuel pressure at the tank, we must integrate an external FPR. This kit kit includes all the lines to do so as well as the 3 adapters needed for the FPR to attach the lines to. The aftermarket FPR kit does not work with 2 port type, just the 3 port type.
This is a "dead head" setup which means the FPR is pre-fuel rail. Many kits have the FPR after the fuel rail which makes for 1 extra fuel line and more engine bay clutter. Chase Bays specializes in fixing clutter. The dead head setup is what the 3 port FPR’s were designed for and is common practice in the motorsport world.
The FPR mounts on the firewall with our FPR Bracket to an existing bracket (see photos). If this bracket is deleted you can drill a new hole in a similar area. The fuel feed goes from the hard line to the filter thats mounted directly on the FPR with a 90º coupler. Then the opposing side of the feed goes from the FPR to the rail directly. To attach it to the rail you will simply cut 2" from the fuel rail adapter and attach our hose. The return is simple enough routing from the FPR bottom to the hard line.
****The second option of "Select Fuel Pressure Regulator Type Used" is solely telling us if you're using a stock FPR or aftermarket FPR. The $50 dollar charge is for additional line, FPR adapter fittings to AN, and FPR bracket. This option does not add the FPR itself. Aftermarket FPR's are not 50 dollars...not quality ones at least!****
